Note Sprint

Master the Grand Staff

How to Use Note Sprint

Note Sprint is designed to be a high-frequency training tool for piano students and musicians. To get started, select your preferred Clef (Treble for right hand, Bass for left hand). If you are a beginner, we recommend the Easy difficulty, which focuses on the notes directly on the staff without ledger lines.

Once the game begins, a note will glide across the staff from left to right. Your goal is to identify the note and press the corresponding key on the virtual keyboard (or your physical computer keyboard) before the note reaches the edge. Each correct answer builds your score and streak, while missing a note costs you one of your 5 hearts.

Who is this tool for?

New Beginners

Perfect for kids and adults who just started piano lessons and are struggling to remember "Every Good Boy Does Fine" or "Face."

Intermediate Players

Great for improving reaction time and mastering "ledger line" notes that occur above or below the standard 5 lines.

Music Teachers

Use this as a 5-minute warm-up or a "challenge mode" during lessons to gamify the learning experience for students.

Self-Taught Artists

Bridge the gap between "playing by ear" and reading sheet music with a tool that provides instant feedback.

Pro Tips for Success

  • 01 Focus on Landmarks: Instead of counting every line, memorize Middle C, Treble G, and Bass F as anchor points.
  • 02 Use Physical Shortcuts: You can use your computer keyboard keys A, B, C, D, E, F, G to play the notes even faster than clicking!
  • 03 Custom Range: Use the "Custom" mode to isolate just the notes you struggle with most, like those tricky high ledger lines.
  • 04 Daily Sprint: Just 10 minutes a day of high-speed note identification significantly boosts your "fluency" when reading real sheet music.

Healthy gaming tip: Remember to take breaks and stretch your wrists every 20 minutes!
